Biography

Paul Sibuet was born in 1986 and raised in Lyon. As an emerging artist, he is establishing himself as a rising figure in the contemporary art scene. His work has been recognized in numerous competitions, in Tokyo and Paris. A virtuoso of elemental forms, matte white, color, trompe-l’œil, and gold leaf, he creates—within his artisanal studio in Lyon—original, desirable, and comforting pieces that captivate through their ingenuity, their playfulness, their gourmandise, and their ability to reconnect us with our childlike imagination. Paul Sibuet’s work stands at the intersection of Abstract Expressionism, Nouveau Réalisme, and Conceptual Art. He harmoniously weaves his artistic practice with his artisanal heritage.
His creations—shaped by his roots, his travels, his readings, and his perception of the sacred and the divine—reflect a life dedicated to discovery, spirituality, reinterpretation, and imagination.

Where it all begins

In his Lyon-based studio, Paul Sibuet shapes matter, experiments, and reimagines.
Plaster, gold leaf, trompe-l’œil marble or unstable structures — each piece is born here, between instinctive gestures and artisanal precision.
A space inhabited by childhood, technique, and imagination.
